COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to help participants understand how the gospel message passed on and developed from the ministry of Jesus himself to the written Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, and Luke—and to Acts, the companion volume to Luke—as well as to examine the purpose, contents, and message of each of these New Testament books and their relationship to each other. We also will overview research into the topic of the historical Jesus.
COURSE PURPOSE: To gain insight into how the Gospels ascribed to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and Acts came into existence and to examine their contents and message.
